Teen agers

Teen agers, when motivated, can learn quite fast. If they are beginners, the approach is similar to that used for children: learning new concepts and skills, put them in practice, study of music theory and then more practice. This usually happens more rapidly, but the pace is always adapted to the individual, as it is very important that the foundations are solid. The pieces are adapted to their age and they are in different style, ranging from classical, jazz, pop and so on. If they are intermediate learners, after evaluating what they can already do, the focus will be on improving their current skills, add new ones and enrich their repertoire, also following their musical tastes. If they are advanced, they will be used to work a lot on their own; focus will probably be on interpretation and technique, together with growing their stamina to play for longer performances. At all levels, music theory, aural training and sight reading will always be taught, in order to become an all-rounded musician.
